5 DAILY SUSTAINABLE SWAPS YOU CAN MAKE RIGHT NOW
There is no time to waste. It seems we’re all working hard to live more sustainably. The process can be more than a little overwhelming but there are some easy daily swaps you can make right away.
1. SWITCH TO REUSABLE STRAWS
Such a simple swap to make. There really is not need for plastic straws anymore. Grab a pack of reusable straws and liven up your drink whether that be a Green Juice or a Piña Colada. Our reusable travel straws come with an easy cleaning brush and travel pouch so there is no excuse not to keep a pack in your handbag.
2. INVEST IN A GOOD QUALITY TAKEAWAY COFFEE CUP
We don’t like single use stuff and coffee is one of the worst culprits for it. Invest in a good quality reusable coffee cup for your daily ritual from now on. This one from Frank & Green has an anti-spill design and is lightweight, hardwearing and a pleasure to drink out of too!
3. CHANGE UP YOUR SHOPPING BAG
Turn down all those pointless plastic bags and use a natural alternative instead. Our handmade eco shoppers are made from a super strong fibre from Agel and will take you from market to beach.
4. USE PLASTIC FREE SHAMPOO
The best thing about stocking up on plastic free shampoo is that they come in a
handy travel tin. Perfect for packing in your suitcase for holiday.
We love this Mango one from Soup & Soap.
5. CARRY YOUR OWN PRODUCE BAGS
Is there anything more annoying that unpacking the weekly food shop only to be left with dozens of thin plastic bags? Well probably, but its pretty high up there right?! Avoid the mass invasion of plastic by using these organic cotton produce bags from now on.
Oh and before you go….
I know we said right now but there is no need to throw away your old shopping bags, shampoo bottles etc before their time is up. The last thing our planet needs is fully useable products going to landfill. When your current items break or run out see if you can recycle them and the swap them out for these suggestions.
These are just a few tiny steps you can take to living that little bit more sustainably and we know theres lots more little changes we can make to help. What are some of your favourites?
